Frequently asked questions

We understand trying something new can raise a few questions—and we’re here to answer them. Whether you’re new to Pilates or just new to our studio, here’s everything you need to know before you roll out your mat (or hop on the Reformer).
What is Hot Mat Pilates?
Hot Mat Pilates is a heated variation of traditional mat Pilates that combines strengthening exercises with a high-intensity, low-impact format. Our studio room uses ceiling mounted infrared panels to warm the space; typically heated to 35°C with 40% humidity for HIGH heat classes and 24°C degrees for LOW heat classes.
Infrared heating in Pilates classes offers several benefits that enhance both physical and mental well-being:

Enhanced Mobility & Flexibility– The warmth from infrared heat helps loosen tight muscles and tissues, making it easier to stretch and hold deeper poses.

Improved Detoxification– Infrared heat promotes sweating, which helps the body eliminate toxins more effectively.

Increased Calorie Burn & Metabolism Boost– Exercising in infrared heat can elevate heart rate and metabolism, leading to greater calorie burn.

Pain Relief & Muscle Recovery– The deep-penetrating heat can reduce muscle stiffness, alleviate joint pain, and accelerate recovery after workouts.

Stress Relief & Relaxation– The warmth enhances serotonin levels, reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation.
Of course! We get it, life happens.
