Your guide to moving, booking and feeling your best at Pilates Locale.

What is Pilates Locale?

Pilates Locale is a premium Pilates studio in Coorparoo offering two distinct experiences:

  • Hot Mat Pilates in our infrared‑heated Mat Room

  • Clinical Apparatus Pilates in our fully equipped Studio Room

Both spaces are designed to help you feel supported, strong and deeply connected to your body.

Clinical Apparatus Pilates is a personalised, equipment‑based session using the full Pilates apparatus including Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Barrels

It’s ideal for:
• Injury recovery
• Strengthening specific areas
• Improving posture and alignment
• Building confidence before returning to group classes
• Deepening your understanding of Pilates technique

Hot Mat Pilates is a heated variation of traditional mat Pilates that combines strengthening exercises with a high-intensity, low-impact format.

Traditional matwork is the foundation of the Pilates method. Expect:
• Improved core strength
• Better posture and spinal mobility
• Enhanced coordination and control
• Increased flexibility
• A strong, balanced body using minimal equipment

Hot Mat Pilates is our signature class style performed in a gently heated room using infrared technology to warm the space; typically heated to 35°C for HOT classes and 25°C degrees for WARM classes. You’re welcome to take breaks at anytime

The warmth supports deeper mobility, enhances circulation and leaves you feeling lengthened, energised and restored.

Infrared heating in Pilates classes offers several benefits that enhance both physical and mental well-being and is loved for its ability to:
• Improve mobility and flexibility
• Support circulation and recovery
• Reduce muscle stiffness
• Create a calming, serotonin‑boosting environment
• Enhance overall class experience

It depends on your goals:

  • Want to sweat, move and build strength? Start with Hot Mat Pilates.
  • Recovering from injury or wanting personalised support? Begin in the Clinical Apparatus Room.
  • Unsure? We’re happy to guide you.

All bookings are made through our booking software, Momence. You can book via their app or website Pilates Locale – Momence

Yes, with clearance from your healthcare provider. Please let your instructor know so they can support you with safe options.

If you’re recovering from an injury, you’re still welcome in the Mat Room — but it’s important to know that Mat classes are general‑programmed and not individually tailored. Our instructors offer layered options and supportive cues, but they cannot provide clinical guidance or modify the entire class around your injury.

If you choose to attend Mat while recovering, we recommend:
• Moving gently and listening to your body
• Taking breaks whenever you need
• Skipping movements that don’t feel right
• Letting your instructor know before class so they can offer general alternatives

For more complex injuries, acute pain, or if you’re unsure what’s safe, we strongly encourage starting in the Clinical Apparatus Room, where your program can be personalised to your recovery needs.

The Clinical Apparatus Room is specifically designed for clients recovering from injury, rebuilding strength post‑physio, or needing more personalised support.

Here, your instructor will:
• Tailor your program to your injury, goals and current capacity
• Work at your pace with close supervision
• Use the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and other apparatus to support safe, controlled movement
• Progress you gradually as your body strengthens
• Communicate with your physio or healthcare provider if needed

This room is the safest and most effective place to rebuild confidence, restore mobility and return to full movement — whether your injury is new, ongoing or long‑term.
